Supplier Spotlight- Amy from Willow Farm, Berry
What can we say about Willow Farm….we absolutely adore this property! We have styled, set up and coordinated lots of weddings here since they opened with more coming up this season and it’s always such a pleasure to work on this laid back property.
The views, the vibes…we love the lot.
Read a little bit about this gem of a venue below;
What sort of services does your business offer/what you do?
We are a DIY farm wedding venue with accommodation.
A bit about yourself?
We are a family of five. My husband Mark and I are both writers, and we love living on the farm growing sheep, cows and vegies. When we’re not on the farm we love travelling.
What questions do you recommend couples ask or look for when sourcing a venue?
We encourage couples to ask us as many questions as they can think of, both when they’re deciding on a venue, and once they are in the planning stages of their wedding here. It’s really important when they are choosing a venue that they understand the possibilities and limits of a place so that they are free to create their dream wedding within that.
Some of our most common questions are about curfew, wet weather options and recommendations for local suppliers.
What are some of the key trends you see around in 2016/2017 for weddings?
Ooh, so many gorgeous things are happening. Tepees, native flowers, a lot of blush, outdoor dance floors, floral arbours. But the best thing about watching weddings come together at the farm is that every single one is different and each has the individual stamp of the couple all over it.
Fav ceremony location on the farm?
We are blessed with some picturesque spots for ceremonies – our huge sculptural fig tree is a fave with couples and photographers, and anywhere by the dam is pretty. I love the intimacy in the garden, especially under the jacaranda in late spring and summer. But my favourite spot is probably down by the creek, with the lush green grass, the dripping willow tree and the gentle running water. It’s a walk for guests to get there, but so so special.
