Suppliers Spotlight; Jo, owner of Garnish Creative Catering
Being a wedding coordinator and planner, it is super duper important that we get on with the catering and bar team at weddings! And with the team at Garnish, we do just that! They are laid back, friendly, but they also get the job done and create amazing food, all with a smile and laugh……plus they are flexible and take it all in their stride…you sort of have to be with some of the crazy ‘middle of a paddock’ weddings we work on together during wedding season!
Here is a little bit about them;
Garnish Creative Catering
What sort of services does your business offer/what do you do?
Catering services specialising largely in weddings. We love to feed people!
A bit about yourself?
My name is Jo Jorgensen and I am the owner of Garnish Creative Catering. With my team of chefs, wait and bar staff we make sure the guests at your function receive the very best food and service from the beautiful South Coast. Every wedding is different and we ensure that we work with you to make sure that your wedding day is everything you imagined.
What questions do you recommend couples ask when sourcing a caterer?
First you need to think of the mood of your wedding – casual or formal? This mood really determines the menu whether it be a shared banquet, canapé style or a more formal sit down alternate drop.
What are some key trends you see around in 2016/2017 for weddings?
Large Antipasti Grazing Tables are replacing canapés as an alternative to that period after your wedding ceremony has concluded
What favourite product do you stock at the moment?
Love Caramelised Balsamic Vinegar. Just is so versatile and adds so much flavour to dishes
Fun Facts about Jo from Garnish Creative Catering!
There is nothing that I don’t love (probably why I got into this business in the first place!) but if I had to choose I would say cheese (D’affinois is the bees knees!)
Fav spot to visit in our region?
I love to shop and Berry has some of the best shops around. Great place to wander around enjoying the various cafes and get in a bit of retail therapy while your there.
Own 2 cavoodle puppies called Jack and Caley (mind you I think we should of named them Search and Destroy!) And we have a cat called Felix.
