Supplier Spotlight; DJ Nana Blade (NBDJ)
What can we say about the lovely Nana….with her infectious smile and cracker of a personality, she is one of our top DJ choices when recommending a quality, but fun DJ!
We completely agree with her interview in saying that music can make or break a function, a good DJ needs to read the room/vibe, listen to their clients likes and dislikes and enjoy what they do…and this gal does just that!
Check out our interview with her below;

What sort of services does your business offer/what do you do?
I’m a DJ/MC with 20 years international and industry experience. I am able to help co-ordinate all aspects of the entertainment side of your wedding or event and supply all equipment incl. sound, lighting, effects, wireless mics and playlists for before and after ceremony/dance floor.
How did you get started?
I started djing in London in 1996 by complete accident. I decided to learn how to Dj as a hobby and found myself being asked to play in different venues around the Kings Rd and my hobby turned into a career.
What questions do you recommend couples ask or look for when sourcing a wedding DJ?
Good testimonials, a Dj with plenty of experience and knowledge of music. Someone who they get along with and can relate to. I feel that music is an integral part of any event and can make or break it as it is usually a very prevalent part of the entire proceedings. I guess I would say couples need to be sure their dj/musician listens to their ideas, understands exactly what they want but also has an ability to put forward suggestions and ideas of their own that enhance the process.
Any memorable D-Floor Moments from one of your weddings?
There are so many to list but I recently played at a wedding in my home town of Berry where the bride and groom were lifted up onto the shoulders of their guests whilst everybody danced around them. The vibe in the room was electric! On the same night, during the last track (Dreams by Fleetwood Mac) everyone lit sparklers and sang along. It was truly magical. Had to be there. Such an amazing atmosphere.
