Real Wedding; Emma and Matt @ Worrowing
About You Two;
Now, How did you two meet?
We met when we were around 14 years old through a friend.
Who popped the Question and how did it happen?
Matt proposed when we stayed at the Wildlife Retreat Targona.
Why did you choose your venue and how was the venue choosing process?
Worrowing was the first venue we visited. We knew we wanted somewhere outdoors, accomodation onsite and the option to DIY the majority. Worrowing is so beautiful, we loved being immersed within nature.
Quick Fire Questions;
How many wedding guests did you have?
96 guests
Sit down or Cocktail Style?
Sit down
What month?
August
Planning The Wedding;
What was the top couple of non-negotiables or important must-have’s at the wedding for you both?
Non-negotiables for us were BYO drinks, excellent food and for us to spend as much time with our guests as possible throughout the day.
Tell us about your dress and that dress-finding process?
What sort of theme, vibe or style did you go for? Not sure we had a theme, we wanted everything pretty simple to really appreciate the beautiful venue and for it to be true to us.
On the Day;
How did you both feel wedding morning?
We both felt relaxed and excited. Emma enjoyed spending time with her parents, bridesmaids and niece taking it slow in the morning. Matt went for a swim and enjoyed a delicious breakfast from Huskisson.
What was the best part or moment of your day?
Having a cannoli cart for dessert was a huge success, we actually got to pipe some for our family and friends. People still mention how delicious they were! We also held a recovery brunch at Worrowing the next day which we absolutely loved. We were on the tools on the BBQ cooking bacon and eggs and got to speak and thank everyone the next day which we really enjoyed.
Anything you would change about your wedding or anything that didn’t go to plan?
Wouldn’t change a thing!
Are there any rituals, sentiments or traditions you incorporated into the day?
We had a shot of vodka at the end of our speech as Matt’s family is Polish. We also had bonbonnieres, but instead of just almonds we incorporated the almonds into a lolly bag with some other treats as well personalised match boxes.
After the Wedding;
Best investment or money well spent on the wedding that you made?
Having a coordinator was amazing. It was the best not having to think about the logistics on the day, having Emily was incredible! We also loved having the recovery brunch, it was so nice to actually have time to chat to all our family and friends and thank them for celebrating with us.
Budget-over, under or what you estimated?
We ended up being on budget, having a winter wedding (we got married August 31st) meant we were able to get a lot of great deals which allowed us to have things we wouldn’t have been able to have during peak wedding season.
