Real Wedding; Dani and Vicky @ Barn on the Ridge
About You Two;
Now, How did you two meet?
We meet online.
Who popped the Question and how did it happen?
Dani did, a little getaway to New Zealand, we visited a waterfall Vic used to go to as a kid and question was popped in front of some friends.
Why did you choose your venue and how was the venue choosing process?
We holiday in Narrawallee every year and there was a little coffee cart at the end of the street, every morning we would go for a walk and the co-owners of The Barn with a card for their newly bought property at their coffee cart, Dani went to visit the property few months after proposing and we both knew that was the venue for us, the fact it was a DIY venue as well ticked a lot of boxes for us to create our own day.
Quick Fire Questions;
How many wedding guests did you have?
Sit down of Cocktail Style?
Planning The Wedding;
Was planning the wedding stressful or did you enjoy the journey?
Bit of both more enjoyed it because we knew what we wanted.
How involved were you both in the wedding planning, did one of you take more of the lead on certain aspects than others or were you both equally involved?
What was the top couple of non-negotiables or important must-have’s at the wedding for you both?
The date (Vic can’t remember too many dates so had to be our anniversary date), the food, jumping castle, tunnel arch light, no kids, unplugged ceremony.
Tell us about your dress and that dress-finding process?
Hard to find something but turned out online was our best option.
What sort of theme, vibe or style did you go for?
Fun, chilled, rustic.
On the Day;
How did you both feel wedding morning?
Amazing, chilled, hyped up.
What was the best part or moment of your day?
Dani: our first look and our ceremony walk in (hard to pick as it was all the best).
Vic: the first look, sunset especially after all the rain that was going on.
Anything you would change about your wedding or anything that didn’t go to plan?
A few things didn’t go to plan along the way before the day but ended up working out in the end.
Are there any rituals, sentiments or traditions you incorporated into the day?
Vic did a surprise Samoan traditional dance.
After the Wedding;
Describe newlywed life in a couple of words?
Not much has really changed, but definitely feels like a weight has lifted and can start looking forward to everything we have planned.
Best investment or money well spent on the wedding that you made?
Everything honestly was the best.
Budget-over, under or what you estimated?
Over budget, Dani never sticks to budget for anything.
